A cute coastal village on Aegina's northern side. It's known for its therapeutic hot springs. With a mix of sandy and rocky beaches and shallow turquoise waters, it's perfect for swimming and unwinding.
An ancient temple dating back to 500 BC, offering panoramic views of the Saronic Gulf. One of Aegina's most iconic landmarks, it forms part of the sacred triangle with the Parthenon and the Temple of Poseidon at Sounion.
A prehistoric citadel and former sanctuary. Home to the remains of the Temple of Apollo. Just a short walk from Aegina Port and close to a local beach.
A really beautiful fishing village with seaside tavernas. Great for snorkelling and short boat trips from the port offer to Moni Island, a tiny island off Perdika's coast.
Beautiful early 20th Century monestary up in the hills, with nice hikes nearby and one cute taverna.
Itay and I hiked here when we came to visit the island to confirm the wedding site and I thought it was absolutely magical! Aegina's former capital, it's now an abandoned medieval village with over 30 surviving Byzantine churches being taken over by greenery and you can hike up the mountain and through them.
A tiny uninhabited island with nothing but forests, clear waters and a tiny beach bar, accessible by boat from Perdika (10 minute small shuttle) or Aegina Town (20 minute larger ferry). Home to friendly deer, peacocks, and wild goats and great for swimming, snorkeling, and exploration.
