At a divinity school party in 2019, Emma and Hunter found themselves in a heated debate about Hegel's "Phenomenology of Spirit". After several hours of arguing, Emma left the party certain that she and Hunter would never be friends. And yet, intrigued by each other's ideas, the two soon began meeting for lunch to talk about everything under the sun, from current events to theology. Talking to one another was easy, full of excitement, curiosity, and of course, plenty of respectful disagreement. Slowly, Emma and Hunter's conversation partnership became something more. Lunch chats evolved into to road trips, movie nights, first kisses, and cuddles on the couch. Days became weeks and weeks became months. Equally in love, the two philosophy nerds graduated school and moved to Memphis to begin a new life together. In the final hours of 2020, snuggled up to their lazy puppy, Emma proposed to Hunter. This time, no debate or discussion was necessary.
