Travel Note
Leadville is about a 2 hour drive from the Denver International Airport (DIA). We recommend renting a car to drive to Leadville, as it is, unfortunately, inaccessible via public transportation. There are no taxis, Ubers, or Lyfts, so please plan accordingly if you're staying in town. Alternatively, we would absolutely love it if folks could carpool. Hotel
If you are looking to stay in a hotel in Leadville we recommend looking into the Delaware. It is conveniently located on main street and a short 10 minute drive from where the wedding will happen. There is no lodging closer to the High Mountain Institute.

Leadville has an immense amount of lovely camping! We are excited to be able to offer folks camping options at the venue (The High Mountain Institute) for free. You will have full access to bathrooms, showers, and a fridge. Please let us know if you plan on camping on site! If you are looking for a more remote option we recommend checking out the US Forest Service Camping at Turquoise Lake or exploring the endless dispersed camping opportunities around Leadville.
Travel Note
If you are looking to stay in a larger town we recommend looking into Frisco or Buena Vista. Both of these towns are about 30-45 minutes from Leadville and provide better access to nice hotels, restaurants and shopping opportunities. If you're concerned about sleeping at elevation, Frisco is about 1000' lower than Leadville, and Buena Vista is about 2000' lower. Please keep in mind that traveling between Leadville and Frisco involves driving over steep mountain passes.
