The Wedding Website of Emma Cloney and Dale Brown
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We can’t wait to celebrate with you! Please let us know if you’ll be joining us by August 31st, 2025. Dale is super laid-back about it, but Emma? She’s a bit of an anxious planner. So, if we don’t hear from you, don’t be shocked if she starts sending follow-up texts, emails, or maybe even a singing telegram to get your RSVP. (Only half kidding... or am I?)

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

While we’d absolutely love to include everyone, we have to keep both our budget and venue space in mind. For this reason, we can’t extend a plus one to every guest. If your invitation envelope included the name of your significant other or "plus guest," then feel free to RSVP with their name. If not, it means the invitation was just for you, and we can’t wait to party with you on the big day!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we absolutely adore your little ones, we’ve decided to make our wedding a kid-free zone. Think of it as their gift from us—no sitting still, no “shh!” during speeches, and no pretending to like grown-up food. This celebration is just for the adults, so grab a babysitter, dust off your fancy shoes, and get ready for a fun night out with us!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal attire. We encourage you to strut your stuff in your best style. We love to see our friends and family express themselves with fashion. We are rocking a bold colour palette for the wedding, so please feel free to wear colours in these bold colours. No jeans, please. Also, avoid wearing white or ivory as we reserve that colour for the bride. **IMPORTANT** Bring comfortable shoes as a backup pair. We have a very special surprise planned, and you will need comfortable walking shoes. Please bring a spare pair with you and be ready for the wow factor. SCENT FREE EVENT - due to severe allergies we kindly ask that you avoid wearing perfumes or scented body products. Thank you.

Question

Are you registered?

Answer

Your Presence is the Greatest Gift We feel so lucky to have you celebrate this special moment with us. We are not registered anywhere, as what we’d love most is your presence and well wishes. Should you wish to give a gift, a contribution towards our honeymoon would be deeply appreciated as we plan our first adventure as a married couple. Thank you for your love and support—it truly means the world to us!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Great news—yes, there’s a large lot with free parking directly across from the Pavilion at Assiniboine Park. Super convenient! And after enjoying the libations at the wedding, please make sure you have a safe way to get home. We want you to have fun and get back safely! Cars can safely be left in the parking lot overnight if need be.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

The wedding is conveniently located near the heart of the city at Assiniboine Park, making it easy to get to and from the hotels. Taxi, Uber, and other rideshares are readily available. If you’re feeling adventurous, public transit is also an option for a more colourful experience! There will be a shuttle modelled after the historic 1920s Winnipeg streetcars that will make the rounds from the venue to downtown, with stops for our guests and drop-offs at local hotels and of course, afterparty pubs. More details to come.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, absolutely! Please be sure to include any food allergies or special requests when you RSVP. If you’ve already sent in your RSVP but missed that chance, no worries—just reach out to Emma or Dale directly, and we’ll make sure you’re safely accommodated.

Question

Where I should, dine, stay, or explore while in Winnipeg?

Answer

We have compiled a guide to our favourite restaurants, places to explore, and nightlife and cocktail spots in our "Winnipeg, with Love" guide (found right here on the website). For hotels and accommodations, we have secured a special rate for rooms at the Inn at the Forks for our guests wanting to have the ultimate Winnipeg experience. Check out the "Travel" page for the details, and more suggestions for where to stay for all budgets.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive by 4:30 PM to grab a seat and mingle with some familiar faces before the ceremony begins. We’ll kick things off shortly after, so it’s the perfect time to relax and catch up with friends and family.
