Winnipeg’s default answer for something to do. A nice variety of foods and stores, fully licensed with a beer and wine kiosk in the middle. Favourite spots: McNally Robinson Books, Bindy’s Caribbean, Johnston Terminal Antique Mall, Fergie’s Fish and Chips.
$$ A beautiful botanical garden with 2 biomes and a butterfly garden. Kiosk for coffee and dainties, or "Gather" for food and drink. Favourite spot: standing on the bridge watching the koi fish.

Thermea - 775 Crescent Dr, Crescent Park, $$$ A great choice for taking a day and relaxing; a full nordic-style spa with an excellent restaurant.
Osborne Village, $$ A super-vibey fine dining experience. Great food in a cozy candle lit environment. Favourite items: Roasted Bone Marrow, Fried Beets.
Exchange District, $$ Tasty eats with a gorgeous view of the river in a renovated pump house. Favourite items: Ricotta and Fig Bruschetta, Grilled Octopus.
Exchange District, $$ This is our spot for “girl dinner”; skip the entrees and split a few appetizers instead. Favourite items: Charcuterie, chicken liver mousse.
Chinatown, $ We are both fans of dim sum, and this is our spot. Happy hour pricing from 3pm onward as well! Favourite items: shrimp and coriander dumplings, pepper beef, golden buns.
Osborne Village, $ One of Winnipeg’s staple pubs. Equally good for a pint and a game of pool or a delicious cocktail. Live music at night as well. Favourite items: Whiskey Sour
West Broadway, $$ Quaint old-timey feel with some wonderful cocktails. Emma threw her 40th birthday party here, and we shot some of our engagement photos here as well. Favourite Items: hard to decide.
Downtown, $ Legendary honky tonk that oozes mojo; one of Winnipeg’s most prestigious watering holes and music venues. Watch for flying chickens and famous faces you'll recognize.
