Maid of Honor
Sydney isn’t just Emma’s little sister she’s her built-in best friend, biggest cheerleader, and favorite pain in the ass. She’s the one who knows every embarrassing story (and you’ll probably get an example or two during her speech) and STILL agreed to be maid of honor. From childhood dance routines choreographed exclusively to Justin Bieber (sorry, world) to late-night heart-to-hearts, Sydney has been Emma’s constant. You’ll probably find her on the dance floor, next to a spilled drink, or hear her before you see her. She’s sassy, supportive, and somehow manages to keep Emma grounded while also making her laugh until she cries. Their bond has no limits. They’re united in the highs, the lows, the blowout fights, the shared tears, the obnoxious laughs, the moments of shared anger, and everything in between. This wedding wouldn’t be complete without Sydney standing right there, proving once again that being sisters is the best thing that ever happened to them both.
Bridesmaid
Devin isn’t just Emma’s best friend, soul sister, and one of the most constant, unwavering presences in her life. Also known as Deveena Weena, she’s been by Emma’s side since they were 15. Through heartbreaks and healing, messy mistakes and incredible milestones. She’s been the quiet strength in the hard moments, and the loudest cheerleader in the best ones. She has defied every obstacle that’s ever hit her. Tiny but mighty, Devin is stronger than anyone Emma has ever met, having overcome things no one should ever have to go through. And through it all, she always makes time for Emma without question. She’s the person Emma would go to for everything from “does my hair look okay?” to “can you help me hide this body?” (and maybe “can I borrow your hammer?”). Their friendship is an equal give and take. Devin values Emma’s advice just as much as Emma treasures hers. There’s a kind of friendship that feels more like family, and that’s exactly what Devin is. She’s loved and supported Emma through every right (and wrong) without hesitation. To say Emma is thankful would be an understatement. Devin’s genuineness, loyalty, and love have shaped Emma into the woman she is today. And there are no words big enough for what it means to have her standing beside the bride on her wedding day, her best friend forever.
Bridesmaid
If you want to know what lifelong friendship looks like, just watch these two together. Claire has been a constant in the bride’s life since kindergarten. Through every chapter, every season, and every wild dream. They’ve sung through school days (perhaps a bit too enthusiastically), planned out imaginary love stories (affectionately called “encounters”), and made endless memories over Chick-fil-A lunches, mall wanderings, drive-in movie nights, and epic games of 20 Questions (Claire will never live down “Guam”). Even though life has taken them in different directions, every time they reconnect, it’s like no time has passed. That’s just the kind of friend Claire is. Unshakably loyal, endlessly kind, genuinely funny, and grounded in faith and patience. She’s the kind of person you don’t just keep in your life, you hold onto tightly.
Bridesmaid
Lelu burst into the bride’s life during her senior year, and let’s just say…she made an impression. Bold, unapologetically herself, and absolutely hilarious, she’s been lighting up every room (and every group chat) ever since. Officially, she came into the family as Brennan’s girlfriend, but somewhere along the way, she and the bride formed a bond deeper than titles. They’ve laughed, cried, and even fought like real sisters. And through it all, Lelu has stayed fierce, loyal, and full of love. Watching her step into motherhood has been one of the bride’s greatest joys, and through all of life’s twists, Lelu has proven time and again that there’s nothing she can’t handle. She’s smart (ridiculously smart), thoughtful, and one of the most capable women you’ll ever meet. She hypes everyone up like it’s her job, makes people feel seen and celebrated, and never fails to bring honesty and fire into any moment. There’s an ongoing joke that if things didn’t work out with Brennan, she and the bride would just marry each other (though Lelu has admitted she’s a little sad about being “replaced” by the groom). But no one’s ever really replacing Lelu. She’s family, forever. Everyone deserves a Lelu in their life, but we’re lucky to actually have her.
Bridesmaid
McKenna: affectionately known as Ken, Kenny, Nen, Nenna (take your pick) is the groom’s older sister, and from day one, she’s been the wise one, the steady one, and the keeper of all the childhood dirt. Seriously funny videos, embarrassing photos, hilarious stories... she has them locked and loaded for anyone who asks. But beyond her quiet wit and soft-spoken presence is someone truly extraordinary. Kenna is thoughtful, empathetic, and loves deeply. Being accepted by her feels like gaining something rare, like a luxury. She made the bride feel welcome right away, jumping into conversations and making space in every room she was in. She’s supported the bride in more ways than one. But perhaps most meaningfully, she’s always the first to laugh with Emma over confusing Utah sayings (yes, sliver is a thing) or to join in teasing the groom at any given moment. Kenna is stunning inside and out, grounded, endlessly kind, and the kind of person you can’t help but admire. She’s someone to strive to be like, graceful, genuine, and wonderfully made. The bride feels beyond lucky to gain her as a sister and can’t wait for the many, many memories to come.
Best Man
Brevin is the groom’s younger brother but only by age. If you're going off of height, he’s the “big” one now. Their relationship is the kind that’s built on years of playful punches, shared memories, and teasing that never quite stopped. They still mess around like kids… except now, Brevin’s size gives him an unfair advantage. He was one of the first people the groom told about Emma, and from the start, he’s been steady, supportive, and always real. Brevin is the most introverted extrovert you’ll ever meet with his social battery at zero one minute, scream singing whatever's in his head the next (no, it's not always a song). He’s not shy around new people, and he’s definitely not afraid to call things like he sees them… which, depending on the moment, can be either a huge blessing or a bit of a roast. Either way, it’s always honest. Brevin is more than just the groom’s brother, he’s a built-in best friend, confidante, and the one person who can talk trash and give great advice in the same breath. Call him Best Man, big-little brother, or built-in bestie he’s all of it and more.
Groomsman
Ky (short for Kyle) is married to the groom’s sister, but he’s felt like a brother long before the paperwork made it official. In fact, after Ky came into the picture, the groom finally stopped wishing Kenna had been a boy because suddenly, he had the older brother he’d always wanted. Ky is competitive in the best (and sometimes funniest) way, always down to go head-to-head, whether it’s a game, a debate, or just being the funniest guy in the room. But beneath the humor and trash talk is someone deeply intentional. He’s genuinely curious about people, asks questions that go beyond small talk, and gives rock-solid advice when it matters most. One of the things that means the most? The way he loves the groom’s daughter, Novalee. He stepped into the role of fun, crazy uncle without blinking, and knowing she has someone like Ky in her corner. Someone to look up to, laugh with, and learn from means more than words can say. From the way he treats his wife to the way he shows up for family, Ky sets the bar for what it means to be a man, a husband, a brother—and now, an uncle. He’s always got the groom’s back and now, he’s got a spot right by his side on the big day.
Groomsman
Brennan has always been the big brother everyone loved, and Emma figured out early on that if she wanted people to like her too, all she had to do was steal his jokes. He’s been a role model from the start, and today she admires him even more for the way he’s stepped into fatherhood so seamlessly, bringing the same loyalty, kindness, and thoughtfulness that have always defined him. From the moment Cason became part of the family, Brennan welcomed him in like he’d been there all along. One night, he and the groom found themselves out on the back porch, just the two of them, talking about life, raising families, and the kind of dads they hoped to be. That conversation stuck, not just for what was said, but because of how genuine and open Brennan was. Protective, dependable, and always looking out for the people he loves, Brennan has a way of making everyone feel cared for. And when he’s not doing that, he’s making dangerously strong margaritas that no one can quite replicate. To say the couple is thankful for him doesn’t begin to cover it. He’s family through and through, and they’re lucky to have him standing by their side.
Groomsman
Jack has always reminded Cason of his own little brother, funny, kind, and (most of the time) level-headed. Emma likes to joke that Jack is basically Brevin but with a little bit of a hot head, and honestly… she’s not wrong. From the very beginning, Jack has felt like another younger brother to Cason. Even though they haven’t had endless time together, Jack has made sure every moment counts, always welcoming him into the mix with Brennan, making him feel included, loved, and right at home. Easygoing and the life of the party, Jack has a way of turning any situation into fun. Whether he’s throwing out dance moves or cracking jokes, he’s known for being authentically himself and making every moment more entertaining. Emma insists he’s her dad’s mini-me and the resemblance goes far beyond looks. One unforgettable example came during a Saints game when Jack, frustrated with a play, quietly disappeared downstairs, only to return with every piece of Saints gear he owned, toss it all into the snow, slam the door, and rejoin the game like nothing had happened… Geaux Saints. To this day, it remains one of Emma’s favorite stories. Jack is the kind of person who makes family feel even bigger and better just by being himself and the bride and groom couldn’t be more grateful to have him standing by their side.
Groomsman
Emma and Stetcyn first met when they were just kids, and quickly became inseparable. A year older, he naturally slipped into the role of protective big brother, and to this day he still takes it seriously (whether Emma is actually being “stupid” or not, he’ll be the first to let her know). Over the years, their bond has grown into one that’s steady, honest, and filled with both teasing and love. When Cason came into the picture, Stetcyn welcomed him as if he had always been part of the family. One of the very first times they met, he invited Cason out to the shooting range, a gesture that immediately showed his loyalty and desire to include him. Since then, it’s become a running joke that Stetcyn is just as excited(if not more) for Cason to visit as he is for Emma. Known for his calm nature, good head on his shoulders, and a strong sense of loyalty, Stetcyn is not only a protective brother but also an incredible husband and father. He knows how to have fun, but he also knows how to ground a situation with wisdom and perspective. For Emma, he’ll always be the protective older brother; for Cason, he’s become another brother in every sense of the word. The couple couldn’t imagine their day without him standing beside them.
Mother of the Bride
Kathryn isn’t just the bride’s mom, she’s her favorite person in the world. She’s the kind of mom that tucked Emma in every night until she was 18. She’s been answering the brides phone calls (almost) every time since Emma was old enough to know her number. Okay, maybe not every time… because Emma calls a lot. In middle school, it was twice a day, so often that the school secretary just handed her the phone without even looking up. She’s the reason Emma laughs with a snort and the reason she can’t start a day without coffee (after Emma thought it was a good idea to put instant coffee in her coffee maker). She’s the master of turning little things into big magic, birthdays that felt larger than life, Halloween that could rival Disneyland, and every celebration decorated with so much love it became impossible not to carry on those traditions. Emma was her mom’s “baby manager,” studying everything she did because she wanted to grow up to be a mom just like her. Now, with Nova and someday with future kids, she strives to be just as intentional, creative, and full of love as Kathryn always has been. She doesn’t know how much Emma looks up to her or how often she watched when she wasn’t looking. As a kid, Emma knew her mom had all of the answers, the best ideas, and the safest heart. And the truth is, she still does. There will never be words big enough to describe what it means to have a woman like her standing by Emma’s side on her wedding day.
Father of the Bride
Emma’s dad (the one in LSU purple and gold) has a heart as deep as the bayou and a faith that has quietly shaped and strengthened his daughter through the years. Their bond runs so deep, it’s hard to imagine this day without him by her side walking her down the aisle, both probably crying like blue-haired old ladies. He’s the man who taught Emma so much not just through words but through example. From "patience in traffic" (which, let’s be real, is code for two people with serious road rage) to the sassy attitude she’s proudly inherited (blame him and Mom for that one), he’s been her steady guide of what to do (and what not to do). Their talks, even when they feel like lectures, never end with Emma rolling her eyes too hard because she knows every word comes from love. Emma is her dad’s favorite, a title she cherishes, though now with Cason in the picture, the friendly competition has officially begun. But no matter what, his God-fearing, Bible-thumping faith remains the strongest foundation in both their lives. They once made a pact back when Emma was just a kid for her not to get married or move away, but instead to spend all day on the couch watching NASCAR and eating junk food. Life had other plans, but that bond full of love, laughter, and sometimes sass has only grown stronger. Emma’s dad is one big, beautiful ball of emotion, strength, and love—the kind of dad who makes every moment unforgettable and every day a blessing.
Mother of the Groom
If you’ve ever met Casons mom, Susie, you know she’s unforgettable. She’s the light at the end of the tunnel, the rush of relief after finishing something challenging, the kind of person who leaves you feeling like you could take on the world. She empowers everyone around her and will happily spend hours in conversation about anything and everything nothing is off the table. Family is at the heart of everything Susie does, and her kids are her greatest pride. She’s ready to start her “grandchild army” and finally cash in on all those times she’s said, “You’ll understand when you have kids one day.” A woman of action, she’s thoughtful, selfless, and radiates a love-like-Jesus attitude, never speaking an unkind word about anyone (even when they deserve it). While she loves to travel (especially to the beach) Susie is a homebody at heart, cherishing deep, meaningful conversations. She’s the type who can meet someone in an airport and, ten years later, still talk to them twice a week. She shares a special bond with Cason, matching him in her all-or-nothing, wholehearted approach to love. And without fail, she wears a smile that makes her “just the best” in every way.
Father of the Groom
If patience were a person, it would be Casons Dad, Scott. He’s one of the most generous, selfless people you could ever meet. The kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back whether he’s known you for years or met you that day. His family is his greatest success, and no matter how busy life or work gets, his wife and kids are always his top priority. Protective, steady, and endlessly dependable, Scott is the kind of dad and “Papa” every family dreams of. He has time for his kids no matter what, and his love for them is matched only by his love for his wife. He’s known for his signature selfies — so if you see him at the wedding with his phone held at just the right angle, go ahead and smile; you might just make it into his growing collection that’s been years in the making. Scott has never met a stranger and treats everyone like family. His patience is unmatched, and in the rare moments when he does get upset, it’s almost impossible not to laugh. There’s something endearing about hearing such a calm, gentle soul drop a few cuss words. In all the time of knowing him, he’s never been one to complain. Instead, he quietly gives, supports, and loves with a loyalty and devotion that leaves a lasting mark on everyone lucky enough to know him.
Flower Girl
Hannah bug may have the official title of flower girl, but don’t let that fool you, this girl is showing up with main character energy. At just 12 years old (going on 22, obviously), she’s a full-blown spitfire: smart, hilarious, wildly creative, and ready to insert herself into any plan, project, or conversation, however she’s allowed. She’s the baby of the family, but no one treats her like one. Not because they don’t want to, but because she simply won’t allow it. She’s too busy keeping up with (and sometimes outshining) her older siblings. Whether she’s making jewelry, baking up something from scratch, or casually giving her opinion on wedding décor like a seasoned planner, she brings her full, sparkly heart into everything she does. She’s very into Taylor Swift (insert dramatic family eye roll here), full of quick jokes, and shares a lot in common with her Maid of Honor sister, especially when it comes to wearing her heart on her sleeve. Han loves big, feels deeply, and isn't afraid to show it. She is breathtakingly beautiful, ridiculously funny, and already one of the most unforgettable people in the room. And now, she's adding “flower girl” to her long list of talents… because of course she is.
Flower Girl
Meet Novalee—though if you ask her, she’s Nova, she’s four, but she “acts like she’s five,” thank you very much. She’s the best of both worlds: a glitter-loving, Barbie-styling dress-up queen and a fearless, bug-catching, roughhousing adventure buddy. She’s an animal lover through and through, convinced every furry, scaly, or feathered creature adores her back (they totally do, they’re just playing hard to get). She is, without question, a Daddy’s girl. She loves Cason’s snuggles more than anything. Except maybe ganging up on him with Em, who she now proudly calls her own. If you see her, there’s a good chance you’ll hear a confident, “Girls RULE…” followed by a bold “Boys DROOL!”—a line Emma is extremely proud to have taught her. Nova is kind. She’s patient. She’s generous to a fault (truly—this is both beautiful and a small warning). She will give you her toy, her snack, her whole heart and then ask how she can help next. She’s beyond excited to officially live with Daddy and Em… but let’s be honest, she’s most excited about sleeping with Gus and Murphy every night. Daddy and Em are mostly just there to serve snacks and lock the door. Today, she walks down the aisle not just as the flower girl, but as a living, giggling symbol of love’s biggest, most beautiful surprises. She is joy in its purest form. And Em feels like the luckiest woman alive to get to call her hers.
Ring Bearer
Izzie (or Iz, depending on the mood) may technically be the ring bearer, but calling her that barely scratches the surface. At 14, she’s the bride’s mini me in every sense, equal parts sweet, sassy, and just the right amount of chaotic. She’s smart, driven, wildly creative, and always juggling a million interests from skating and photography to making social media magic and having more friends than anyone can reasonably keep track of. If you can’t find her during the reception, she’s probably off with the photographers, offering her unsolicited expertise and calling it an unpaid internship. She’ll be carrying her baby nephew Malcolm down the aisle, which is both adorable and slightly nerve-wracking (for everyone else, not her). She may be one of the youngests in the bridal party, but she walks through life with a confidence and heart that shine far beyond her years. Goofy, empathetic, and always ready with a well-timed joke, Izzie shares her sister’s soft heart, creative spirit, and love for a little chaos. Watching her play such a special role today is more than sweet—it’s a reminder of just how lucky Emma is to have grown up with someone who only gets cooler by the year.
Ring Bearer
Malcolm may be just 2½ months old, but don’t let his size fool you—he’s already running the show. With his killer smile and those big eyes, he’s a certified heartbreaker in the making. The bride said, "If I don't hear a collective aww as he's carried down the aisle, we'll start over until we get it right." Proud son of Brennan and Lelu, Malcolm’s already got them wrapped around his tiny fingers. He adores his mom—especially two very special things that only he knows about—and his dad’s no exception. Together, they’re learning that raising the cutest baby comes with no breaks and endless snuggles. He’s quick to claim Auntie Em’s lap as his favorite spot and isn’t shy about making Uncle Cason laugh (or cringe) with his impeccable timing. Malcolm might be small, but he’s already one of the biggest blessings in their lives.
