Highway 212 runs through the town of Red Lodge and continues through an incredibly scenic mountain pass. Stop along the many pull-off’s and scenic view points. And if you’re going in the summer, the Beartooth highway is one of the most beautiful routes to Yellowstone National Park.

Bear Creek Saloon Pig Races
A fun local favorite during the summer, the Red Lodge Pig Races take place Thursday through Sunday evenings at 7:00 p.m. (Memorial Day–Labor Day). Watch racing pigs compete while supporting scholarships for local Carbon County high school students — a unique and entertaining Montana experience!

Mystic Lake
One of the most popular hikes near Red Lodge, the Mystic Lake Trail offers stunning mountain scenery, waterfalls, and a beautiful alpine lake at the end. The hike is approximately 6–7 miles round trip with about 1,200 feet of elevation gain, making it a great option for guests looking for a moderate Montana adventure.
