Peaks of Otter Visitor Center
We recommend driving up and down the blue ridge parkway if you have time, either direction from this visitor center. There are also countless hikes and scenic pull-off views to take part in, sharp top being one of the most notable. The visitor center has lots of information but doing research online will save you the stop. “View Montvale” overlook is one of our favorites where Brett proposed to Emma!
Sharp Top Mountain hike
Sharp top is one of the most well-known hikes in the area, and gives beautiful 360 views of the Shenandoah Valley.
Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre
This artificial ski slope at Liberty University has skiing, snowboarding, and tubing year round. Many visit the overlook and lodge simply for the stunning view of Lynchburg and the Blue ridge mountains.
Old City Cemetery
Very scenic civil war cemetery!
National D-Day Memorial
This is right in the town of Bedford, a very popular spot!
LU Monogram
This is another scenic overlook that is a short distance from snow flex that you can also hike up to from the base of liberty’s campus! You can also hike over and sometimes drive over from the snow flex center.
