Take the Washington State Ferry

The Anacortes Ferry Terminal ~90 minutes from Seattle. You should plan to be at the ferry terminal one hour before your reservation. The ferry ride itself is 60 to 90 minutes, and the drive from the ferry to venue is less than 10 minutes, so choose a ferry that is slated to depart from Anacortes at least 2 hours before you want to arrive at the venue. Making a ferry reservation is extremely advisable! Boats typically fill up in the summer and you could be waiting for hours without reservations. Reserve BOTH directions of ferry. You will choose "Departing From Anacortes" and "Arriving at Friday Harbor" Ferry reservations are sold in three waves: - 1st Wave: released April 14, 2026 - 2nd Wave: released 10AM PST TWO WEEKS before your sail date. For example. If you wish to arrive on Tuesday, July 28th, you'll want to set an alarm for Tuesday, July 14th at 10AM PST to purchase your ticket. - 3rd Wave: released 10AM PST TWO DAYS before your sail date. If you did not reserve a space, but want to take the ferry, we will have some reservations available to share, so please reach out!

Flight

Fly to Friday Harbor via sea plane!

Seaplane flights from South Lake Union, in Seattle, to San Juan Island (Friday Harbor) are $189 per person (one-way) and take only 45 minutes. Friday Harbor Seaplanes also offers service to Friday Harbor from their Renton Terminal (closer to Sea-Tac Airport). Both services offer shuttle service from Sea-Tac airport to the seaplane. If you have a gang of 8 people, you can even reserve a whole plane without any extra cost--why not fly private?!

Probably where we would stay if we were staying in town. Modern style and a solid restaurant. The Shuttle will have a stop here on the wedding day.

Tucker House Inn Friday Harbor

If you're looking for historic charm, we'd recommend here. They have guest rooms, suites, and cottages. The shuttle will have a pick-up/drop-off stop here on the wedding day.

Earthbox Inn & Spa

If you're looking for a more conventional hotel, we'd recommend Earthbox. They have a pool/hot tub, and have many ground-level units for guests who would prefer options without stairs. The shuttle will have a pick-up/drop-off stop here on the wedding day.

San Juan Property Management

San Juan Property Management provides 80+ vacation rental options in the San Juan Islands, including single family homes, cabins, cottages and condominiums. There's a 3-night Minimum for most places in July, but even if you don't stay 3 nights, this option could be more cost effective if you have a large party. FYI the 'filter by dates' feature in Map view seems to be broken. So you have to click on a unit to see availability from map view. You can also just call them!
