Travel Note
Northstar is a mountain resort offering year round mountain living and activities. The Village is the hub. Located at the base of the mountain you'll find dining, shopping, mini golf, spas, etc. The Big Springs gondola departs from the Village and takes you to mid-mountain. We will ride another chairlift/gondola between mid-mountain and the ceremony/reception site. For on mountain activities in September, you'll be able to hike or mountain bike the many trails on the mountain. We encourage everyone to stay near the Northstar Village to have everyone centrally located creating a memorable weekend. Pro tip: Type "Northstar Big Springs Gondola" into google maps to see exactly where the gondola to and from the ceremony/reception is located. The afterparty will be at The Alpine Club in Northstar Village. Hopefully this helps orient yourself in the Village when choosing a place to stay! We recommend everyone stays either in the village or walking distance to the village.

Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) - about 1 hour drive to Northstar. Sacramento International Airport (SMF) - about 2 hour drive to Northstar Car Rental o Prices vary – starting at ~$100 on kayak for a 3-day rental (Friday morning to Sunday evening) •We recommend coordinating with family and friends to share rides from and to the airport. o Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) – approximately $70 each way (only from Reno Airport!)

Be sure to also check out Airbnb and VRBO for listings within Northstar. Many of the Northstar Resort, Tahoe Mountain Lodging, and even Ritz properties are rented out by owners through Airbnb. You may be able to find a smokin' hot deal if you look here! ;)

All TML buildings are less than 5 minutes walk to the gondola that takes you to and from the ceremony location. TML condos are spacious and quite luxurious, but not overpriced. To get the best value, we recommend joining forces and booking a multi bedroom unit. The 3-4 bedroom units are large and offer lots of common space to spread out. Room types vary per unit with multiple different bedding arrangements. Reservation staff can assist with your preferences over the phone. Be sure to call and mention the wedding discount code to make your reservation. It is much easier than doing so online. Timber Creek Lodge - Hotel style rooms and lofts. Central location in the heart of the village. They have 1 King or 2 Queen hotel style rooms. Lofts have 2 Queens in same room with a separate living room area with sleeper sofa Ski Trail Condos/Aspen Grove Condos - Modest and cozy condos that are within a 5-15 minute walk from the village. 1-3 bedroom condos. Classic ski condo feel. Great for families and people that don't need too much space to spread out. Northstar owned private homes - Wide array of detached homes within the neighborhoods of Northstar. 5-15 minute shuttle ride to village. Offers tons of space, back yard, garage, parking, etc.
