Question

When and where is the wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at The Lodge in Skaneateles, NY. The ceremony will be followed by a cocktail hour and then the main reception. Both the ceremony and reception will be held indoors at The Lodge.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We kindly request formal attire for our special day. While the ceremony and reception are indoors, we will be utilizing some of the venue's outdoor spaces, so please dress comfortably for the winter weather.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We kindly request that guests arrive no later than 3:30 and be seated by 3:45 as the ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM. You are welcome to arrive as early as 3:15 PM to enjoy welcome drinks and horse-drawn carriage rides before the ceremony.

Is there a hotel block for guests?

Answer

Yes, we have secured room blocks at two hotels for your convenience: Hilton Garden Inn Auburn: This block offers a Best Available Rate (BAR) and can be booked up to the day of arrival, based on availability. One-night stays are permitted at this hotel. Early booking is encouraged for the lowest prices. Skaneateles Fields Resort & Spa: This block has specific rates for various room types. A two-night minimum stay is required at this resort. Reservations must be made by November 5, 2025, to secure these rates. After this date, rooms are subject to availability and prevailing rates. You can find booking links and phone numbers on our "Travel" page.

What time is hotel check-in?

Answer

Check-in at the Hilton Garden Inn Auburn is 3:00PM. We understand this may present some difficulties for guests arriving on Saturday who wish to utilize the buses to the venue at 2:45 and 3:00pm. We advise guests to check our Hotel and Travel page 1-2 weeks before the event date for early check-in availability, or to call the hotel directly. For guests needing additional time or for those who wish to explore the beautiful Skaneateles village, we highly recommend booking Friday night as well!

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Yes, we will be providing bus transportation for guests staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Auburn. Buses will depart from at 2:45 PM and 3:00 PM to take guests to The Lodge. For guests staying at the Skaneateles Fields Resort & Spa, a complimentary shuttle service to the venue will be available. Please note that other taxi services and ride-shares like Uber/Lyft are very limited in this area, so we strongly encourage guests to utilize the provided transportation or to plan their own driving arrangements.

Is there an after-party?

Answer

Yes! We'll be continuing the celebration at The Armory Speakeasy & State Street Pub immediately following the reception, from 10:00 PM to 12:45 AM. Guests who wish to attend the after-party must RSVP (details on how to RSVP will be on your formal invitation/website). Transportation details for the after-party will be shared at the reception. The Armory Speakeasy is located across the street from the Hilton Garden Inn.

Is parking available at the venue and after-party location?

Answer

Yes, there is ample parking at The Lodge for those driving to the ceremony and reception. The Hilton Garden Inn Auburn has plenty of parking for guests staying there or those utilizing the bus service. For those driving to the after-party, we recommend parking at the Hilton Garden Inn Auburn. It is conveniently nearby and street parking is limited.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We can only accommodate guests formally invited on your invitation. Please refer to your invitation to see if a plus one has been extended.

Are children invited?

Answer

We love all your little ones! However, to allow all of our guests to relax and enjoy themselves, we have chosen for our wedding day to be an adults-only occasion, with the exception of children participating in the wedding party. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so that you can celebrate with us.

What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?

Answer

Please let us know about any dietary restrictions or allergies when you RSVP so we can accommodate you.

How do I RSVP, and what is the deadline?

Answer

You will receive a formal invitation by mail that includes a QR code, or you can simply click the RSVP tab above. The deadline to RSVP is November 6, 2025.

Can we take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We respectfully request that you refrain from using phones or cameras during our ceremony so that our photographers can capture all the special moments without distraction. At the conclusion of the ceremony, an announcement will be made inviting guests to take photos. We encourage you to capture and share photos during the reception and after-party!

How long will the horse-drawn carriage rides available?

Answer

Horse-drawn carriage rides will be available for guests starting as early as 3:15 PM and will resume after the ceremony for the duration of the cocktail hour. This is a wonderful opportunity for photos and to enjoy the beautiful grounds.

Will there be a coat check?

Answer

Yes, a complimentary coat check will be available upon your arrival at The Lodge, to the left once you walk in.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, we're pleased to offer welcome drinks upon arrival, followed by an open bar during cocktail hour through the reception. For guests attending our after party, light snacks will be provided and drinks will be available for purchase.

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all! However, if you wish to honor us with a gift, you can find our registry details here: www.zola.com/wedding/emilydavid2025/registry. For your convenience, there will also be a card box available at the reception.
