We're getting married!

Wade and I (Emily) met through mutual friends, very briefly in December 2015, right before I started working at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples. When I started working at Tiburon, Wade was working in food and beverage at the time. I was working in the cart barn/valet. Unbeknownst to me, Wade had already submitted a request to transfer to the department I had been hired in, prior to my arrival. We worked together for a little while before developing a really awesome friendship. As time went on, we became very close friends. At first it was just that-really good friends. But over time, it organically grew into something else. Our first 'date' was on April 20th, 2016. We went paddle boarding and kayaking; however Wade had no idea that his kayak had a hole in it! Needless to say, we didn't make it very far. The poor guy ended up with his feet all cut up from standing on an oyster bed, to drain his kayak. Although we didn't label this as a date, it was the day that everything started to change and feel 'different'. Over the course of the next few months, it was a slow burn, but in the best way. We grew closer and got to know each other on a different level, shared a few kisses, etc. On August 2nd, 2016 Wade asked me to be his girlfriend. Ever since that day, I have labeled myself one of the luckiest girls in the world. Anyone who knows Wade, knows that he is an absolute catch! My girlfriends were all very fond of him right away and some of them even developed a tagline "never settle for less than a Wade" when it came to their own pursuit of finding a relationship. My family, of course, loved him immediately as well. (Shout out to Bill and Cheryl for doing such a phenomenal job raising this young man, because he is the perfect partner.) Fast forward to 8 years later, we're finally getting married! We are so excited to celebrate with you and we couldn't imagine this special day without all of our family and friends in attendance. It may have taken a while to get here, but it was worth the wait! XOXO, Emily & Wade
