Officiant
Monika and I met in college when we were in the same sorority, Phi Mu. We became good friends during college since we both studied International Business and had fun at sorority events. We became even closer after college when we both moved to Charlotte and lived one door away from each other in 2020. She helped keep me sane when I moved to a new city in 2020 and we both had limited interactions with people since we worked remotely. During my eight months living in Charlotte next to Monika, I spent as much time as I could at her apartment and borrowing all of the kitchen gadgets she had. I never passed up an opportunity to try a workout class with her, a new brewery, or restaurant, and sometimes she could even get me to go to the mall.
Maid of Honor
Sam and I have been best friends since freshman year of college. We were both in the same sorority, Phi Mu. In college, we got to be roommates by senior year and had the time of our lives at sorority functions, gamedays, and every day in between. After college, Sam has been my first call when booking trips. She has a goal of visiting all 50 states by the time she turns 30, and I have gotten to show her Oklahoma, Kansas, and Georgia. We also have gotten to see Tennessee, Florida, Arkansas, Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho together. Outside of travel, we share a love of reading books, watching TikToks of her golden retriever puppy Charlie, and all things Harry Potter.
Bridesmaid
Steph and I have been best friends since sixth grade. My first memory of her is when she joined our school a month after the school year had started. I showed up to class one day and this girl had stolen my seat. Despite being deeply annoyed by her on day one, we soon became friends through our passion for competing in gym class and sarcastic jokes at each other's expense. After graduating high school, we roomed together at the University of South Carolina. I joined a sorority freshman year and brought Steph to all the functions and events I could. Year after year we have stayed close friends and love to reminisce about all of the life phases we have been through together.
Bridesmaid
Kelly has been teasing me since I was born, but she’s also been my biggest cheerleader. She's always one of the first to celebrate me, loud and proud. She’s the bossy big sister I never knew I needed, and I’m so lucky to have her keeping things fun and functional on our wedding day. Throughout my childhood, I would gladly take any hand me downs she offered and loved when I got to be involved in whatever she was doing. Since she lives in Atlanta, I always look forward to seeing her when I'm home and getting to hang out with my niece Mackenzie, who will be the flower girl at the wedding!
Bridesmaid
Darby is my second oldest sister. She was in the grade above me in school, so I was always trying to see what she was up to. From following her to different summer camps to having her drive me to school once she got her drivers license to bringing me to parties, we have always been close. She is the keeper of our most embarrassing memories, which makes her dangerous, but also one of my favorite people to laugh with at a ridiculous volume. Now that she's in vet school, she gets to hear every random question I have about my dog Olive, and she always has an answer!
Bridesmaid
Abby is Theo's older sister, and I met her in 2020 over pasta at Theo's parents house in Charlotte. She has that great personality where she can be ready to chill on the couch or be the life of the party, whatever you need in the moment. Over the years, I've gotten to spend more time getting to know her over ski trips in Colorado, spending time with her when we lived close (ish) in Oklahoma and she lived in Dallas, and catching up with her whenever we are back in North Carolina for the holidays.
Best Man
Griffin and I met early in high school, but didn't become close until late in our Sophomore year. Pretty soon we were inseparable. Whether we were doing homework, watching football, getting kicked out of physics class, or driving around aimlessly late at night, we were doing it together. We spent so much time together that we started to bicker like siblings, which is appropriate because Griffin will always be my brother. A few years ago he moved to Denver and we were finally reunited for the first time since college. Now he's out in San Francisco with his girlfriend Dani, but I'm sure we'll find our way back to each other soon.
Groomsman
Hugh and I rushed TKE our freshman year at Cal Poly and it wasn't long before we were constantly getting called the wrong name since we were similarly tall, skinny, and ugly. We became good friends throughout college, but really bonded when we lived together for 2 years. As the only 2 engineers in the house, we actually had to go to the library and sometimes even to class, so we partied hard when we got the chance. Hugh married his wife, Elli, in Washington last year and we had a blast celebrating. Pro tip: if you're playing a game that involves drinking beer fast, you want Hugh on your team.
Groomsman
Kaspar and I met playing frisbee in college. We didn't become close friends right away, but once we started hanging out, we didn't stop. We've spent hours together playing frisbee, basketball, hiking, and hacky-sacking, but we also love to sit around and chat about life, school, philosophy, or whatever's on our minds. At the start of 2021 I moved to Panguitch UT to live with Kaspar for a few months, and I have some very fond memories of that time. Kaspar is bright, selfless, and annoyingly good at everything, and I'm proud to call him a friend for life.
Groomsman
Dustin and I played frisbee together in high school, but we first met in Latin class. After a few weeks of arguing about who is better at basketball, we finally met up and played some 1-on-1. This sparked a strong friendship fueled by a passion for competing against each other any chance we get. Off the frisbee field and the basketball court, we connected over food and music and became lifelong friends. Dustin married his wife Tia last year in Raleigh, and I couldn't be happier for them and the wonderful life they have with their 2 dogs in Austin.
Groomsman
Dan is my cousin on my Dad's side. Born 8 hours before me, we've always shared a close bond. My dad and I would drive 12 hours every summer to upstate New York so the dads could play a golf tournament while Dan and I hung out at the pool or in the basement playing video games as long as our eyes would stay open. These days Dan works as a merchant marine, and when he's not on the boat we find time to ski together and catch up. He visiteed Panguitch back in 2021 and we went all over Utah hiking, skiing, and hanging out in dive bars. Dan is the brother I never had, and I cherish the time we get together.
