Question

Where should we fly into?

Answer

Prices can vary, so we recommend you check the following airports, Denver, CO, Salt Lake City, UT, Grand Junction, CO, and Montrose, CO. Grand Junction and Montrose are much closer to where the wedding will take place (45 minutes and 25 minutes), but will cost more to fly into. Denver and Salt Lake City are equidistant from the wedding venue and our hometown of Delta, Colorado. If you plan to drive from Denver or Salt Lake City expect about a 4.5-5 hour drive and be mindful of weather. Snow can be common in the mountain passes this time of year and you will drive through several passes traveling from either direction. The drive is quite scenic in either direction and worth doing if you have the time for it. There are plenty of car rentals available in Salt Lake or Denver. Book a car ahead of time for Grand Junction or Montrose as they can run out during busy times.

Question

What should we wear?

Answer

The wedding is a country, rustic wedding. Wear whatever you're most comfortable in. We expect some to show up in ball gowns and others to show up in cowboy boots and jeans. It does get cold at night so bring layers as there is a large deck and the ceremony will take place outside. Dinner and dancing will take place inside of the lodge.

Question

Where do we buy alcohol?

Answer

The wedding will have an open bar with beer, wine and spirits. Hotchkiss: Tri R Liquors, local wineries Paonia: Paonia Liquor Store, West Elks Wine & Spirits, local wineries Crawford: Desperado (small selection) Delta: Whiskeys (great selection, especially of craft beer), Moonshine Liquors, D&B Liquors, Uptown Wines (great wine selection) *Beer is sold in the grocery stores, but it is brewed especially for the groceries and has a lower alcohol percentage (3.5% or below).

Question

What's for dinner? What's to drink?

Answer

We chose a buffet for increased food selections and the option for seconds, we love food! There will be passed appetizers following the ceremony while we do photos. OPEN BAR- please enjoy yourselves! Craft beer, local wine and spirits will be available. Please do NOT BYOB.

Question

Can we arrive early?

Answer

Feel free! Taylor and Emily will be getting ready with their bridal parties and families but, the lodge is beautiful so come early to enjoy it and the surroundings if you'd like. There's a large deck as well. Bar will open at 5PM.

Question

Can we smoke?

Answer

Please keep in mind Colorado's recent wildfires and refrain from smoking if possible. Please smoke outside, cigars, cigarettes, etc. if needed. Although recreational marijuana is legal in Colorado, it is not allowed on the premises. If you choose to, please be somewhat discreet and smoke at a distance. This is per the request of the venue owners. Please note it is only legal to smoke marijuana on your own private property. Recreational marijuana is not available in every town, so plan accordingly if you plan to purchase any.

Question

How will we get home the night of the wedding?

Answer

Taylor and Emily are arranging for transportation home for guests from the venue. We will cover the costs, please feel free to tip our wonderful drivers. We will have 2 drivers, so one can take your vehicle home for you.
