Where will the ceremony and reception take place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are in the same building at The Goei Center. This is an indoor event. Address: 818 Butterworth St SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504

What time does the ceremony/reception start?

Answer

Doors open to the venue at 4:30 pm. The ceremony will begin at 5 pm. Please arrive by 4:45. Cocktail hour will begin around 5:30 pm, following the ceremony. The reception will begin around 6:30.

Will there be a shuttle between the hotels and the Venue?

Answer

Yes! We have a shuttle bus service that is going to go between the Radisson hotel, the Amway Grand, and the Goei Center. Going from the Radisson to the Goei Center: The Shuttle will make one stop at the Radisson Hotel at 3:45 pm and go directly to the Venue. Going from the Amway Grand to the Goei Center: The Shuttle will make two stops at the Amway Grand. The first will be at 4:05 p.m. the second will be at 4:25 p.m. Getting from the Venue to the hotels: Towards the end of the night the shuttle bus will run between the Goei Center and both of the hotels.

We kindly request that our wedding be an adults-only event unless otherwise stated on your invite to ensure a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for all guests. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation!

Will there be food and drinks at the reception?

Answer

We are excited for Donkey our favorite Mexican restaurant to be catering our wedding! Expect to have chips and salsa during cocktail hour served with prickly pear margaritas. Followed by a build your own taco bar for dinner at the reception. There will be gluten free and vegan options. This is an open bar event. The bar will open following the ceremony from 5:30 - 6:30. The bar will close for one hour during dinner service and open back up from 7:30 - 11:30.

What are the options for accommodations?

Answer

Under the travel tab you will find details regarding hotel blocks. You can choose between Amway Grand Plaza Hotel or Radisson Hotel Grand Rapids Riverfront. Additionally, we have booked a shuttle service to pick guests up from these hotels and drop them back off at the end of the night. Shuttle schedule to come! Please expect to get picked as early as 4 pm.
