Breckenridge Ski Resort
Those coming in from out of Colorado may want to escape to ski, this resort is a little more than 2 hours away, just one of many options.
The Broadmoor Seven Falls
You can go for a hike to the top of the Seven Falls Waterfalls. There are trails at the top and you can enjoy a meal at a restaurant at the bottom.
Castle Rock Zip Line Tours
Visit the city just north of Monument and explore a rope course and zip line tours with amazing mountain views!
Cave of the Winds Mountain Park
There is a lot to do and see in the mountains, you can also go below the surface and visit a cave!
Cripple Creek
About an hour south of Colorado Springs is the historical city of Cripple Creek, more views of nature (and legal gambling!)
Denver
About an hour north of Monument you will find the state capital, filled with lots of activities and attractions. This is also where you can get to various ski resorts throughout the state. Home to the Broncos (NFL), Avalanche (NHL), Nuggets (NBA), Rapids (MLS) and Rockies (MLB), depending on the time of year you may be able to get some professional sports tickets too.
Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center
This National Landmark is a great place to drive through, or go hiking. A must see in Colorado Springs!
Manitou Cliff Dwellings
Visit some Native American history at the cliff dwellings in Manitou Springs, just a few miles south of Colorado Springs.
Pikes Peak
Drive up the the visitor's centre at the summit, over 14,000 feet above sea level. There are amazing panoramic views across the mountain range.
Royal Gorge Bridge and Park
About an hour and a half drive through the mountains will lead you to the Arkansas River and the newly rebuilt bridge and park.
