We met eight years ago during our freshman year at Penn State. One night, my friend asked if I wanted to go to a party at the “baseball house”. My reaction was “what the hell is a baseball house?”. Anyway, my friends and I ended up going there for the party. My friend noticed Schuyler manning the keg….my friend and Schuyler got to talking, and she realized I’d be perfect for him. She said to him, “Wait right there, don’t move!! I need to introduce you to my friend. You’d be perfect for each other.” She found me in the crowd and dragged me over to meet Schuyler. We got to know each other over the next few months, started dating, and the rest is history! Schuyler and I went on a trip to Martha’s Vineyard in June of 2021. One night, he insisted on having champagne at the Edgartown lighthouse beach. He completely surprised me with the proposal, which was no small feat since I knew he ordered the ring a few months prior. There’s some funny background to that…story for another time.
