Is there a dress code?

Answer

Nope! Whatever you’re comfy in! It’s theoretically casual, but if a ball gown makes you feel great, we literally could not be happier if you wore it. Whatever floats your boat! Emily will probably be barefoot. Emily’s dad may wear his signature camo cargo shorts? Abigail could very well be rocking chartreuse sequins. Ryan says Eagles jerseys are encouraged. The whole event is outside/on grass, so take that into account with footwear and fabric if you want (would not recommend polyester or stilettos).

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Sorry, no! The party is at Emily's childhood home, so there is no parking available! Please leave your car at Kennett High School and take the shuttle back and forth to the wedding. The shuttle will be looping constantly from 4-5 PM, so you'll have lots of chances to make it to the wedding. After the ceremony, the shuttle will take a run back to the high school at the top of every hour, so you'll have plenty of chances to leave if you aren't having fun ;)

Can I bring my kids?

Please no kids! (Except for Alejandro and Sarita, because they are Emily and Ryan's bffs).

Question

I love you guys, but it’s going to be really hard for me to make it to this wedding. Will you be mad/hurt/offended/disappointed if I can’t come?

Answer

NO!!! We are inviting you because we love you and want you to know it! BUT we fully understand that weddings are a big ask — for your budget, PTO, childcare, calendar, and life in general! Please don’t stress if it’s just too much for you right now; we’d much rather you use your hard earned time and money on your dream vacation with your partner, that new home improvement project, an experience with your kids, or any other thing that brings you joy. That would make us happier than anything else!
