Need Travel Advice?

If you have questions about hotels, rentals or flights - please do not hesitate to reach out to Phil or Emily directly. We are happy to provide guidance, but are including suggestions below. If you are looking to book a VRBO, we recommend staying on the west side of Winston-Salem (downtown/Trade St, West Salem, Old Salem, West End), near Hanes Mall or in Clemmons/Bermuda Park. We have recommended a couple of hotels off Hanes Mall Blvd, which is equidistant to the wedding venue and downtown Winston-Salem, though there are many other options. The wedding luncheon will be in Clemmons, but we will likely gather in Winston-Salem for some pre- and post-wedding festivities. Charlotte Douglas International Airport

Charlotte-Douglas is the closest major airport to Winston-Salem/Clemmons - about an hour and fifteen minute drive.

Raleigh-Durham Airport is the second-closest major airport - about an hour and forty minute drive.

This newly renovated hotel offers a full bar with an outdoor patio, a small indoor pool and a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is equidistant to Tanglewood Park and downtown Winston-Salem. There are restaurants and bars within walking distance and it is surrounded by major retailers.

Home2 Suites by Hilton Winston-Salem Hanes Mall

This hotel offers free breakfast buffet, a small indoor pool and an outdoor patio with fireplace. It is in the same plaza as the Hilton Garden Inn, within walking distance of bars and restaurants. The rooms are suite-style with full refrigerators, microwaves, dishes and glassware (hot plates are available), along with a small living area.

Residence Inn Winston-Salem Hanes Mall

This Marriott hotel is across the street from the Hilton properties previously mentioned. The suite-style rooms have fully equipped kitchens and small living areas. They offer free breakfast and have a larger outdoor pool with a firepit.
