FAQs

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says "and Guest," then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Black tie optional. Our ceremony will be at a Catholic church, so please dress accordingly.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Yes, bring your kids. Please just let us know in your RSVP so we can plan accordingly!

Question

Will it be a full Catholic mass?

Answer

Yes! The holy sacrifice of the mass is the pinnacle of the Catholic faith. We want the first thing we do as a married couple be to receive Christ in the Blessed Sacrament.

Question

Since the mass is in Latin, how will I know what is going on?

Answer

We will be providing program with detailed instructions and translations. We will also have missals available to accompany the program. We invite you to experience this ancient and beautiful form of the Roman Rite with all your senses. If this is your first time attending a Latin Mass or you are unfamiliar with it, we encourage you to take in the beautiful music, the wonderful scents, the visual changes and beautiful vestment, and feel the movement of the liturgy with your body through the various postures of prayer. The mass should encompass your whole being and be experienced in an all-encompassing manner. This form of the mass can be overwhelming to follow for first timers, so we encourage you to experience with your whole soul rather than follow along with the missal if you find it overwhelming and distracting. We hope that you find it as beautiful and moving as we do!
