A valid US passport with a minimum of 6 months until expiration is required to get into Italy, but no other visa paperwork is required for US citizens.
We recommend flying into Florence for the most convenient travel after arrival to Siena (a short 50-minute drive). Rome and Milan are also great options but will require taking a car or train to Florence or Siena. Milan has been shown to have some of the most affordable flights to Italy from the US.
We ask that our guests stay in Siena for the welcome reception on Saturday and for the ease of coordinating to the venue on Sunday for the wedding. You are welcome to stay elsewhere in Tuscany, but please plan your travel accordingly to the reception and wedding. There are villas close to ours in Monteriggioni, but we do not plan to coordinate travel to and from them.
We are planning to provide a shuttle from downtown Siena to Borgo Stomennano on Sunday. Guests staying outside Siena will need to coordinate their own transportation to the wedding and the reception.
Yes! There is a convenient place to park on the property (but please don't drink & drive. Cabs and car services are available, just call ahead to coordinate drop off and pick up). We will also coordinate a shuttle to the main hotel.
We are planning to host the welcome reception in downtown Siena and do not plan to provide transportation for our guests as those staying in the city and at the listed hotels are within a 5-10 minute walk.
