We have a guest list, so our wedding is strictly RSVP only. You'll be able to see who is invited on the digital invitation and can confirm attendance accordingly.
As our guests, you are gifts yourselves! However, if you'd like to bring a card, please put it in the greeting box at the reception. And if there's something of value in there we won't protest since weddings are expensive! ;-)
Please answer as soon as possible - final deadline for confirmations is February 15th 2025. Please use the RSVP function on the website.
Cantley House Hotel is situated in Wokingham within Cantley Park. It can be easily accessed by car but for those of you arriving via plane and train, you can reach Wokingham by the following routes: Arrivals to Gatwick Airport: Head to Gatwick Airport station and take the Great Western Railway service via Redhill. We would request formal attire - please no trainers or jeans. It is May time so hopefully the weather will be kind to us, but it being England, we'd recommend bringing a jacket or shawl. Weather permitting, canapes and drinks will be outside on the lawn but we will be inside the barn for food and dancing.
As many of you know from personal chats with us, getting married when you're from two different countries isn't the easiest business. That's why we decided to marry - the actual legal part - in Denmark thanks to the relaxed rules of Danish law. Our wedding (the big reception/party) will be in Wokingham in Emily's home region. We invited guests from England and Germany to this event. Another event is planned later in the year especially for parts of the German side of the family later in the year. We will deal with this separately. Every guest of the English reception can join the German event.
