The Wedding Website of Emily Alexa Acosta and Nicholas Laurence Clemente
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

For the welcome party the dress code is formal attire. We strongly encourage tropical colors and prints! The wedding day dress code is black tie optional.

Question

Do I need to speak and understand spanish to attend?

Answer

Cartagena is used to many tourists and most workers there can speak and communicate with guests that only know english.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Only guests named on the invitation are invited to the wedding. Plus one's will be explicitly stated on the invite as well. If you still have questions on who can come we welcome you just ask us! We'd be happy to have the conversation.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We want our wedding to be adults only (21+). Consider it a date night! But we also do not want trouble with babysitting to be a reason for you to not share our special day with us so if there is a concern with bringing your children please speak with us, we'd be happy to have a discussion!

Question

Should I get an Airbnb or a hotel in Cartagena?

Answer

The hotels in Cartagena are gorgeous and fully staffed to bring you all of your vacation needs. They're a great option if you want the full relaxing vacation experience included in your stay. That being said, the airbnb's found there are just as beautiful at a FRACTION of the price of a hotel. They are also staffed with security and a home attendant available all day and night. Many of the airbnbs can provide the amenities of a hotel for an added fee, you get to pick and choose to customize your stay! We have listed areas we recommend to get your Airbnb in and also have a list of recommended hotels that range from luxurious to more economical pricing in the "Travel to Cartagena" page.

Question

How can I get around Cartagena?

Answer

Uber and Lyft are available and they have roughly the same wait times as a normal city. If you'd like to organize transportation with a private company there are recommended companies listed in the "Things to do" page.

Question

What is a good way to estimate how much COP is in USD while im there?

Answer

A good estimate of exchanging COP to USD is to divide the COP amount by 4,000 to have an idea of what the price is in USD. Don't get shell shock from seeing prices in the thousands, it's usually not that much in USD 😁
