I’ve never been to an Indian wedding before. What should I expect?

Traditionally, Indian weddings tend to be large and span over a couple of days. Although each region of India has its own specific customs, the general concept is the same – it’ll be filled with vibrant colors, music, and plenty of food and dancing.

What kind of food will there be?

Answer

There will be a wide variety of Indian dishes with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The food will be served buffet style, so that guests will have the option to choose what they’d like to eat. Please let us know if you have any food restrictions or allergies.

Is there parking available at Lavender Oaks Farm?

Answer

Yes, Lavender Oaks Farm offers a large parking lot directly adjacent to the venue, and you are welcome to leave your car overnight and pick up anytime the next day. You can also call Ubers or Lyfts to directly pick up from the main entrance. We suggest typing in "Lavender Oaks Farm" rather than "My Location" for the best directions.

Is this transportation to and from the venue?

Answer

Yes! Buses will be taking guests to and from the venue and the Hyatt Place Chapel Hill/Southern Village for each event. The bus schedule is as follows: Friday, May 1: - 12:30pm: buses depart from Hyatt to Lavender Oaks Farm - 3:00pm: buses depart from Lavender Oaks Farm to Hyatt - 5:40pm: buses depart from Hyatt to Lavender Oaks Farm - 8:45pm - 10pm: staggered departures from Lavender Oaks Farm to Hyatt, with last bus leaving Lavender Oaks Farm at 10pm Saturday, May 2: - 1:30pm: buses depart from Hyatt to Lavender Oaks Farm - 9pm - 11pm: staggered departures from Lavender Oaks Farm to Hyatt, with last bus leaving Lavender Oaks Farm at 11pm
