Sheraton Chicago Northbrook Hotel

We have booked a room block at the Sheraton hotel in Northfield that we encourage out of town guests to consider. It is about a twenty minute drive from the ceremony, and about five minutes away from the reception. *Please see link to book as soon as possible, as we have been informed there are multiple wedding parties that will be staying our weekend and it will fill up fast!* There is parking widely available at both the ceremony (Church of St. Mary) as well as the reception (Sunset Ridge Country Club). Transportation will be provided (refer to details below).

The Renaissance is another hotel option if the Sheraton is at capacity (it is about an eight minute drive from the Sheraton).

Flight

O'Hare International Airport (ORD)

Chicago has two main airports - O'Hare and Midway. If possible, we recommend flying into and out of O'Hare due to its proximity to the wedding festivities (only about a twenty minute drive from the Sheraton) as well as general breadth of flights.

Transportation from Hotel to Ceremony

October 7, 2023 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm

There will be a coach bus outside of the Sheraton Northbrook at 2:00PM to transport guests from the hotel to the church in Lake Forest for the ceremony. Note that due to time limitations, there will only be one trip made to the church at 2PM, so please plan accordingly and be prompt in order to make it on board.

Transportation from Ceremony to Reception

October 7, 2023 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Coach bus transportation will be available after the ceremony beginning at 4:00PM to take guests from Lake Forest back to the Sheraton for those who want to freshen up at the hotel before the cocktail hour. If guests wish, there are several locations in downtown Lake Forest within walking distance of the Church to hang out or get a drink in the gap period. We recommend "The Bar" at the Deerpath Inn (directly across from the Church), or Francesca's Intimo (Italian restaurant down the street). For sports fans, (i.e. those who want to catch some of the Notre Dame game) there is a sports bar called Chief's Pub that is a five minute walk from the church (on Western ave). The coach bus will be waiting outside the Deerpath Inn at 5:00PM sharp to transport guests choosing to stay in the Lake Forest area post ceremony, and will take guests directly to Sunset Ridge for the cocktail hour. Sheraton to Sunset Ridge: The bus will circle back to the Sheraton Northbrook around 5:25/5:30 to transport anyone who went back to the hotel in the interim period after the ceremony to Sunset Ridge for cocktail hour (note it is only about a five minute drive from the hotel to the reception).

Coach buses will be available in intervals at 10:00PM, 10:30PM, and 11:00PM outside Sunset Ridge to take guests back to the Sheraton Northbrook.
