Things To Do

Kansas City is such a special place to us. We've spent the last 5 years exploring all there is to do here and are so excited to share it with you. We know that the time between the ceremony and reception can be full of confusion when you're not from the area. Here's a list of some of our favorite places to go within walking distance of the reception venue. If you're in the mood for some exploring- you can find lots of places to go just walking and hopping around the area.

One of our favorite places. Perfect for a cocktail or beer. A modern take on a classic neighborhood bar and deli. (4 minute walk to the reception venue.)

Casual Animal Brewing Co

Our favorite local brewery. Bar snacks and craft beer on tap in a trendy, warehouse- style brewpub with plants and high ceilings (and games!). (6 minute walk to reception venue.)

Parlor

Modern food hall on 3 levels offering a variety of causal and creative dining options, plus two bars. (3 minute walk to reception venue)

Up-Down KC

Funky bar featuring 50+ arcade games from the 1980s and '90s, plus cocktails and lots of draft beer. (15 minute walk/0.7 mile to reception venue or very quick Uber)

KC Live!

13 Grand Boulevard, Kansas City, MO 64106

KC Power and Light District. An entire city block with two levels of restaurants, taverns, and night spots. (11 minute walk/0.5 mile or short Uber to reception venue)
