Fairmont Le Château Montebello
Even if you're not staying at Fairmont Chateau Montebello, there are plenty of experiences you can partake in during your stay in Montebello. Manoir Papineau National Historic Site
Set in Montebello, Manoir Papineau is a page straight out of the 19th century history. Visit the grand estate of Louis-Joseph Papineau, the man who was to become a leading figure in Canadian politics. Flanked by four towers, the manor house rules over its surrounding landscape with its landscaped garden, spacious lawns, wooded areas and a stream. Take an excursion into the life of the head of Francophone patriots and enjoy a guided tour of the manor and its outbuildings.
Parc Omega
Omega Park is the discovery of Canada through nature, fauna, history and the spirit and culture of the 11 First Nations of Québec. Enjoy some local craft beer! The Brasseurs’ mission: produce and serve quality beers, promote the heritage of the Outaouais, its artists and its community. Regular entertainment on Saturday all year and on the terrace on weekends during the summer.
Chocomotive
ChocoMotive is an artisanal chocolate company that uses authentic know-how to make its products. Visit the chocolate shop, watch chocolate being made in the open workshop, and learn about chocolate around the world! ChocoMotive offers a traditional array of pralines and seasonal molded treats, as well as an assortment of organic and fair-trade chocolates made with local and Indigenous ingredients. Fromagerie Montebello
Opened in 2011, the Fromagerie Montebello creates quality products that attract visitors from around the region and beyond. It sells locally made fresh cheese, cheese curd (famously found in poutine!) cheese strings and fine cheeses, as well as a selection of cheeses from across Quebec. Other local specialties include fresh bread, homemade pâtés and jams, and (in summer) sandwiches (panini). If you love cheese, be sure to stop by!
