We're getting married!

Their story began in the summer of 2012 on the 13th floor of the BB&T building in downtown Raleigh. The perfect setting for a meet-cute filled with 80's office furniture, pink bathrooms, and people who would become some of their best friends. Fast forward a few months and they would end up working on the same team. They quickly became friends and stayed in touch even through Kyle's multiple cross country moves. 5 years after meeting everything would change. In 2017 Emily made the decision to move cross-country to Phoenix where Kyle had recently moved. While considering the move, Kyle invited her to visit him for a weekend and explore Phoenix. Upon leaving she knew there was something between them, but how could that ever work? They lived 2100 miles apart. She was wrong... Once Emily made the decision to move she heard from Kyle (he denies this) every day. He came to Raleigh right before her move and they made it official!

Kyle had always told Emily he would propose after he finished his MBA. What she didn't know was he'd propose 2 hours after graduation! The proposal took place in Colorado Springs at the Broadmoor Resort. Kyle had planned the entire trip for months with his graduation as an excuse to stay at the resort and have his family join them. On the evening of Kyle's graduation he suggested taking a walk around the beautiful resort to see the Christmas lights before dinner. Under Christmas lights and snow Kyle distracted Emily long enough to get down on one knee and ask her to marry him. He had successfully surprised her - not a small task - she said yes!
