Emily and Josiah met while attending small group at their church. Both started attending New Life Presbyterian Church in November. Josiah sat on one side of the sanctuary and Emily sat on the other side. Their paths would not cross until three months later when Emily attended small group and met Josiah for the first time. From then on, Josiah and Emily had many encounters during small group, game nights, and post-church lunch. During one particular encounter, Emily saw Josiah at the Minnetrista Farmers Market and decided do what she does best - to flat tire his shoe... twice! Josiah assumed the first time was an accident but proceeded to rapidly turn around after the second attempt to "have some words", but had an immediate change of attitude upon seeing Emily. (hehehe) They walked around the Farmers Market together, ate cinnamon rolls, and ran into many church friends. Emily mentioned going to Deena's Coffee House to prep for work, where Josiah invited her over to his house for some tea. Within that next week, Josiah and Emily went on their first date and made their relationship official. Fast forward to December 20th, Josiah proposed to Emily at the place "where it all started".
