We'll be hosting our farewell afternoon at the track on Sunday, but if you are keen to go on another day, it's a great afternoon out.

Saratoga Race Course

A great day out on Lake George on one of three steamboats for a tour of the lake.

You can rent paddleboards and kayaks on Saratoga Lake for $25 for a half-day.

Kayak Shak

Check out some cool cars (they often have shows during the summer). It's located in Saratoga Spa State Park — walking distance from the Gideon Putnam.

Saratoga Automobile Museum

For the history buffs — this is a cool experience in a fort from the French and Indian War in Lake George.

Fort William Henry Museum

For a round of golf at this famous course — it's located right in Saratoga Spa State Park and walking distance from the Gideon Putnam.

Saratoga National Golf Club

Emily's first job (she still has nightmares about it). But it's a fun day out with a waterpark and rides for all ages.

Six Flags Great Escape Lodge & Indoor Waterpark

Joe's first-ever meal in upstate New York (it had to be at a brewery!). They've got good beers right alongside the Hudson River and close to all of downtown Troy.

Brown's Brewing Company's Troy Taproom and Brewery

The best hazy beers in the world. (But, really.) Bolton Landing is a great stop-off in Lake George — you can spend an afternoon sipping BLBC beers and lounging by the lake.

This is one of our favorite craft beer places in the area. They do really good food as well — you have to try the beer cheese dip!

Druthers Brewing Company

Great dinner spot — and also one of the best brunches in the area.

Good dinner/lunch spot in downtown Saratoga.

For a more fine-dining experience, this is a great spot.

A sweet shop right on Broadway in Saratoga — they also do good ice cream.
