Emily and Joe both went to Mizzou (M-I-Z!). During freshman year, Emily played sand volleyball (okay, watched her dorm friends play sand volleyball). While playing, Emily met another group of friends. These new friends led Emily to Joe! Finally, right after Thanksgiving break, Emily and Joe met for the first time at a “dorm party” hosted by their mutual friend. On January 14, 2017, Emily and Joe had their first date at Steinberg Ice Rink in St. Louis.

It is no secret that we love cruising! Emily and Joe joined Emily’s parents and Grandma on a 12 day southern Caribbean/South American cruise. Emily was sure it wasn’t happening on this cruise… then, on day 4 of the cruise, we all went out to Deck 8 Aft to “take some nice pictures” and the next thing Emily knew, Joe was down on one knee! The Norwegian Joy will always hold a special place in our heart.
