We met on match.com just two weeks into the COVID-19 2020 quarantine. After a few days of consistent texting back and forth, Jeremy stepped up and and decided a phone call was necessary. The next week was spent talking on the phone at night for hours getting to know each other! We finally met each other in person about a week later and Jeremy sealed the deal... he showed up with McDonalds ice cream & french fries and it was all over from there. Due to the pandemic, our relationship grew quickly and differently than most. We first met each other's family and then eventually friends, had our first date in a restaurant 3 months after we started dating, and just recently went to our first sporting event. Over the last year we've spent a lot of time cooking together, quite a few hours in the car, moved into our first house, and somehow found ourselves the proud parents of the wildest 4-legged furry friend we could have ever imagined, Finn!

We both knew it wasn't a matter of if, but when. After many, many, many unsuccessful attempts at getting anyone to spill the beans, Emily had decided a proposal would likely come later in the summer. However on June 25, Jeremy pulled off the ultimate surprise. Emily came home after being at a "mandatory happy hour" with co-workers to find Jeremy in their backyard, surrounded by candles, flowers, and our favorite song playing in the background. He got down on one knee, she said yes. But, the surprises just kept coming... within about 20 minutes, our backyard was filled with all of our closest friends and family ready to celebrate!
