Our local bar, where everybody knows our names.
A great place to have a round of beers. Lots of options!
A great option for authentic Italian fare.
Some of the best Italian style sandwiches in San Diego!
Spiciest Thai food we have ever had in our lives! The owner, Mommy, calls everyone "baby" and will burn your insides out. Her spice levels are very unusual, with a 1 being more like a normal restaurant's 8 or 9. Indulge at your own risk.
A delicious Thai food option in the University Heights neighborhood. Fun fact, the owners have a twin restaurant, Plumeria, across the street but all options are vegan!
A really great restaurant in downtown with good eats and a fun atmosphere.
Always a long line, but well worth the wait. The adobada mulitas are a local favorite. Don't forget the cebollas!
Authentic Mexican food with a limited menu but amazing food. Plan ahead because it's cash only!
Dive bar with great burgers next to Balboa Park.
Korean BBQ buffet! What more can I say?
If you're feeling adventurous and want to try something new, this is a great Abyssinian restaurant in University Heights.
A dueling piano bar! So much fun!
When you are looking for anything under the sun, you will find it at Kobey's.
A great place to hike, surf, cliff jump, or catch a sunset.
Folk art and design museum in Balboa Park (also Emily's place of work!). If there are enough people interested, I can book a guided docent tour of the museum for Saturday afternoon. Let me know!
A nice place to walk around with many options for activities including gardens, museums, shops, a carousel, and the zoo.
Tons of cute little shops, including Gold Leaf, Bad Madge & Co., The Book Catapult, and Vinyl Junkies. Many awesome food options, as well, including Piacere Mio, Fernside, and Kindred.
Tons to do here, including brewery crawls, shopping, and eating, even a Farmer's Market on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
My favorite childhood vacation spot is now in my backyard. Park anywhere on Orange Avenue and visit the Hotel Del, McP's Irish Pub, Garage Buona Forchetta, or any of the many awesome little shops.
