For those traveling to Petersburg be sure to check out local AirBNBs, VRBOs and BnBs for places to stay. Due to it being tourist season, places can fill up FAST! There are two hotels that are listed below which both offer car rentals along with TURO. However, if staying in town everything is within walking distance so a car is not nessacary. We recommend to book tickets through Alaska Airlines 4-6 months in advance before prices increase and seats fill up. Petersburg gets two planes a day, the morning jet ( for example- goes from Seattle, Ketchikan, Wrangell then Petersburg) and the afternoon jet (goes from Seattle to Juneau, small layover, then Petersburg). If flying from Boise or nearby cities there are flight options to get to Petersburg all in one day. The hotels provide transportation to and from the airport. There is one taxi in Petersburg but it is not very reliable. The Luczak family is happy to help with transportation, as well.
