FAQs

If you have any questions regarding the questions/answers below, or have a question that was not addressed, please reach out to the bride and/or groom.
Question

Why San Antonio?

Answer

We have chosen to get married in San Antonio because Emily's uncle, Jason, is the Rector at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit in San Antonio. This church has been a big part of our lives, and our family's lives and we wouldn't want to be married anywhere else. Additionally, the town of Helotes is a quaint town full of very special people, local business and fond memories for us both.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We have requested formal attire to all events unless noted otherwise. This means dresses are recommended to be knee length or longer, and suits should have jackets and ties. If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to reach out.

Question

Where is my invitation?

Answer

If you received a Save The Date, formal invitations will be mailed by August 3, 2024. If you did not receive an invitation and feel this was by mistake, or would like to request attendance, please reach out. It may have gotten lost in the mail, or we may have a spot open for you to attend.

Question

Do I get a plus one?

Answer

All invited guests will be listed on the invitation, or listed as "Plus One." Our dinner will be a plated, pre-determined meal with a very strict seating arrangement due to allergies. This means any unplanned guests will not be able to eat, or have an assigned seat. If you would like to request a guest, please reach out.

Question

When does the ceremony start?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at the time listed on the invitation. In order to maximize the time allotted for the reception, we will be closely following our schedule. Please plan to arrive at least 30-45 minutes before the time listed on the invitation to allow for traffic delays and time to be seated.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

Do to limited capacity, as well as the nature of large events with alcohol, we cannot allow any children that are not already listed on the invitations. We recognize this is an inconvenience and if you would like help finding child care in San Antonio, please reach out.

Question

I'm not religious. Can I still come to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! The Episcopal church is welcoming of ALL types of people. We are taking steps to ensure everyone is comfortable, regardless of their religious background.

Question

What is the address?

Answer

You can now find the addresses to all events on the Schedule page of our website.

Question

Can I take photos at the ceremony?

Answer

We will have a professional photographer present at the ceremony to capture every moment. Additionally, the church does not permit photos to be taken by the congregation. Please refrain from taking any photos during the ceremony.

Question

Should I bring cash for the bar?

Answer

Drinks are on us! There is no need to bring cash for the bar, or anything else. We will make sure all of our staff including bartenders, parking attendants, servers, etc. will be given a proper gratuity.
