This was our third date spot, where Jake introduced me (Emily) to a life-changing batch of chicken wings. Now we go here for wing night once a month (at least)!
We went here on our second date for a few rounds of bowling. We have been countless times since with our group of friends. The Bay View Bowl is a Milwaukee staple that has stood the test of time: a classic dive bar and bowling alley in the neighborhood we call home!
When we lived on the East Side, we would walk Stan every day on the lovely riverside trail of the Urban Ecology Center. They have a beautiful indoor space as well!
Not only is this a top-three Milwaukee restaurant in our opinion, it's also where Jake took my parents out to dinner to ask for their blessing in marrying me. So it will always be an extra special place. -Emily
While there are many amazing Colectivo locations around Milwaukee, this one is special due to its proximity to the lakefront. We love it here for a quick coffee, a great view, and bakery snack!
This is a Burton family favorite for all things breakfast and brunch! Charlie's favorite brunch drink was the Groggy Mick, and Emily's go-to order is the BELTCH (bacon, egg, lettuce, tomato, and cheddar). Make sure to ask for extra napkins!
We lived right up the street from this Milwaukee landmark and even played trivia there on Wednesdays! Lakefront Brewery will give you the ultimate taste of the city: from the local brews to the delicious cheese curds (best in town, in our opinion). Try to stop in for a tour if you have time!
It wouldn't be a trip to Milwaukee without a visit to the iconic art museum! It would be a great way to pass the time before our ceremony, even just to walk around the exterior and see the stunning lake vistas!
This adorable little cocktail lounge in the heart of Bay View is my favorite spot for craft mocktails! They even have an NA old fashioned! - Emily
The bustling Public Market is a foodie's paradise and a must-try for out of town guests! You can sample delicious artisan cheeses, grab a street taco, and even shop some Milwaukee merch.
This East Side institution is an amazing option for those who need a break from meat and cheese. This is our favorite spot to grab a smoothie, salad, or bakery item. They also have an incredible selection of local pantry items, sweets, and collectibles!
You already know...BUCKS IN SIX! Head downtown to the Deer District to see the Bucks' home court and the surrounding watering holes like Good City Brewing and Drink Wisconsinbly.
