FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Kindly RSVP by May 16th, 2026. This helps us finalize plans with our vendors and make sure everything is ready for the big day!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests wear formal attire — suit and tie for the gentlemen and floor-length dresses for the ladies. As it’s a summer celebration, we’d love to see everyone embrace bright, cheerful colors that complement the season. We kindly ask that you refrain from wearing white, black or red to keep those colors special for the day.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony will take place outdoors (weather permitting) with the reception indoors all at the same venue.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Ceremony promptly starts at 5pm. We kindly ask our guests to arrive as early as 4:30pm. Anyone who arrives after 4:55pm will not be allowed to enter.

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Complimentary shuttle transportation will be provided between the venue and our room block hotels. Although onsite parking is available, ride-share services are not reliable in this area, so we strongly encourage guests to take advantage of the shuttles.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We recommend exploring the hotels listed under our Travel tab. All are conveniently located in downtown Charlottesville, just minutes from our welcome party and after-party locations. Room blocks have been reserved at each hotel for our guests.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all! If you’d like to give something extra, you can find our registry under the "Registry" tab.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Because of limited space at the venue, we are only able to include the guests named on your invitation. Thank you so much for understanding — your presence means the world to us!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love our little ones, our wedding will be a kid-free event! We encourage you to use this evening as a fun "night out" for yourselves.

Question

Do I have to attend all of the wedding events listed?

Answer

No, you do not! We are so grateful to celebrate with you at our ceremony and reception—that truly means the most to us. Anything beyond that is simply extra for those who are still up for more fun or arriving early.
