Can I walk to the wedding from the accommodations at Mountain Top?

Answer

Absolutely! The furthest house away is a mile, but most are only a 5-minute walk from the main lodge area. There is also a free shuttle that can shuttle you to your accommodation.

Are kids invited?

Answer

We want our wedding to be your night off! Thankfully with our guest houses, we ask that kids stay home for our wedding. There are some wonderful babysitters in the area.

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes!

What's the weather like?

Answer

We recommend checking the weather the week beforehand. Vermont is funny that sometimes the first week of April can be 70 degrees, but also 0. Dress accordingly to the weather. The ceremony will hopefully be outside. The rest of the evening will be inside a heated building.

What's a solar eclipse?

Answer

Emily was fortunate enough to experience a full totality solar eclipse a few years ago in South Carolina. It is INSANE. The outer body experience is nothing but life-changing, hence why we chose to have our wedding on such a special event. It is very rare to be in a location where there is 100% full totality, so we feel very lucky. Even if it's a Monday in April.

I am flying into to Burlington / taking the train into Rutland, how should I complete the last mile.

Answer

We recommend a rental car overall for Burlington, however, Ethan's parents have kindly made themselves available to shuttle guests to the resort. We are still determining how frequently we will have them make the transfer, so please contact Ethan for more information.
