Hello! Thank you for visiting our wedding website. Here is some general information about the wedding that will be good to know! -Our ceremony and reception are at two different locations, because of this we will arrange travel via family, friends, and hired transport for those who are not renting or have a vehicle. If you do have a vehicle and are willing to take a passenger or two please let us know! -We will have a bar, but many of our family and friends are sober so we will have many non-alcoholic options to accommodate this. -The meal will be buffet-style. We plan to accommodate gluten intolerance, religious restrictions, and vegetarian options. If you have any allergies, restrictions, or sensitivities, please let us know while RSVPing. -We have tried to outline as much as possible here about travel, accommodation, and information, but if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please reach out!
The Tangled Garden is an outside venue. There is a chance that you will get dirty or wet if the weather is humid or if there are light showers. The benches are also part of the environment and may have moss or mushrooms. Feel free to bring a small pillow or sheet to sit on. The gardens are full of wildlife like baby racoons, frogs, salamanders, bugs, birds, etc. We ask that you keep your distance and leave them be, this venue is a home for most of them! Except mosquitos, please get rid of mosquitos.
We are asking for semi-formal to formal spring wedding attire. The wedding party colours are green and purple. Florals, fun patterns, bright or dark colours, or natural tones are all totally encouraged! Any type or style is okay as well! Dresses, short or long, are fine, and white is okay for patterns. We are getting married outdoors, so anything you might wear may get wet or dirty. Pointed or thin heels are discouraged for the ceremony due to the terrain and paths; we don't want anybody to trip or break a shoe. If there are any questions, don't hesitate to reach out.
Our guest book consists of a signing tree and a recipe book. We encourage everybody to bring a recipe that is dear to them and would like to pass on to us. We will compile the recipes together to keep and make at home. The recipe box holds cards the size of a cue card (4x6).
We are having a paid bar with signature drinks and drink tickets. There will be many non-alcoholic options for those who do not or choose to not drink as well as alcoholic options for those who do!
Our reception is planned to be cosy and casual. We will not be having a DJ; however, if you choose, please bring an instrument to play around the outdoor fire pit! There will be games, photos, and opportunities to meet each other. If that's not your style, the outside area will have a firepit with Adirondack chairs if the weather permits.
We are not expecting any gifts. Most of our guests are coming from away, and it is an expensive and out-of-the-way trip. For anybody who wants to give us something, instead of a physical item, we are asking for gift cards or cash towards buying and furnishing our future home! But having our family and friends at the event is enough of a gift for us!
