What about COVID-19?

Answer

We expect that all adults attending will be vaccinated. If you are not vaccinated, we encourage you to get vaccinated, and also request that you wear a mask. We have several elderly and at-risk individuals attending and ask that you please not take any chances with their health. Our ceremony will be outdoors and the reception will be in a very large semi-open space will good air flow. If you have any individual concerns, please reach out!

What should I wear?

Answer

The wedding is cocktail attire. Please keep in mind that it may be chilly once the sun goes down, so bring a jacket or wrap to keep you warm. After the ceremony you can either walk or take the shuttle to the reception area. The walk is about 5 minutes on a dirt path, so choose your footwear accordingly!

Can I drive myself to the wedding?

Answer

No, unfortunately there is no parking at the venue for private vehicles. There will be shuttles departing from the Goodland hotel in Goleta at 3:00 pm and 3:30 pm. While it is possible for uber or other ride share services to drop off at the Orchid Farm, there is a one-way road leading to the venue, so we encourage you to take the shuttles in order to minimize traffic and to ensure you are dropped off at the right location.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Yes! Kids of all ages are welcome and encouraged. Please note them in your RSVP. Depending on how many kids are attending, we are hoping to provide on site child care during the ceremony and reception, so that parents can fully enjoy the party. Details to come.

What is the shuttle schedule?

Answer

Shuttles will be departing from the Goodland hotel at 3:00pm and 3:30pm to take guests to the venue. It is about a 15 drive from the Goodland to the Orchid Farm. It is a short 5 minute walk from the ceremony site to the cocktail hour space, and the shuttles will be available to take guests who prefer not to walk. Shuttles will be available to take guests back to the Goodland at the end of the night starting at 10:00pm. (An early shuttle will also depart from the Orchid Farm around 9:00pm for those who need to leave early.)

When should I arrive?

Answer

As early as possible! We will be getting to Santa Barbara on Thursday evening and would love to see you all. We encourage people to make it a long weekend as there is so much to see and do in Santa Barbara (reach out for suggestions!).

Will there be food at the Welcome Party?

Answer

Yes! We will be serving dinner. Come hungry :)
