The two closest airports are San Francisco and Oakland.  Oakland is closer to Berkeley where the wedding will be. For convenience, if you would like to stay as close as possible to the wedding venue consider looking for lodging in North Berkeley or its surrounding cities: Albany, Kensington, Rockridge, and North Oakland.  

San Francisco is a bit further away from Berkeley across the Bay Bridge.  We recommend you avoid staying directly downtown.  SF has a lot of great neighborhoods including North Beach, The Castro, Noe Valley, Cole Valley, the Sunset, and the Marina District which all have different SF flair and are close to sightseeing opportunities.
