The bat bridge! Every night at sunset people line the lower and top of the bridge to watch the bats come out. They typical start to head South in November, but you might still catch them during this weekend. It’s the largest bat migration in the US with about 2 million bats under the bridge. Very cool to see if you’ve never seen them!
The Texas Capitol building is open to the public for free! It’s a nice walk up Congress Avenue where you can stop at shops along the way.
The best comedy performance in ATX. Book a ticket early as they sell out. It's across from the Welcome Party if you want to go to the 9pm show on Friday.
Looking to shop? South Congress has lots of local and brand name stores. This is where you’ll find street vendors, vintage and upscale retail stores.
Downtown park to catch sights of the city or go for a morning walk with a coffee.

Want the most stunning view of the hills and lake Austin? Take a trip to Mount Bonnell. A quick 102 steps and you’ll see the most breathtaking views of our wonderful city, not to mention the mansions on the lake!
Want coffee? We love Jo’s! It’s local to Austin and has great food. There’s a couple throughout the city, but we like the one on 2nd street as we used to live above it.
Looking for a good breakfast taco? Look no further! Veracruz has them! Located next to the South Congress bridge (the bat bridge) you can wall along the lake and grab a taco. The Migas is our favorite taco.
This is a natural springs pool that is an Austin staple. It stays 73 degrees all year round. Only water is allowed into the park and no food. It is $5 to enter.
