Emily and Craig technically had one class together in high school, funny enough it was chemistry class but never really had talked. After high school they ended up working together at Hannaford Supermarket. Emily was Craigs supervisor and even though he was frequently late for work she could see how much the customers loved him. His line at the register would always get too long despite how many other registers were open. One day after Emily's horrible break up, Craig offered to take his break and sit with her on the bench outside. He talked her ear off about silly things for 15 minutes but afterwards she found she was feeling better and was surprised by how friendly and relaxed he seemed. They started txting back and forth here and there. Come the fourth of July Emily decided why not invite him over her parents house for fireworks. She was surprised to learn he already knew where she lived because they had rode the bus together. They had a great night watching the fireworks from the roof and Emilys family seemed to love him. Shortly after that night was Emily's birthday and she hoped it would maybe be their first official date. Craig did not disappoint. He showed up with flowers and dressed in a nice shirt indicating that he also thought it was a date. They had a great afternoon they ended the evening by a fire in the back yard. After a lot of shyness and hesitation from both parties they finally kissed and both of their minds were blown. That night they started dating! Now 11 years later after maybe highs and lows they are still going strong and are FINALLY getting married!

In reflection of Emily and Craigs first date Craig proposed one August night while having a fire in their backyard. The words did not come out smoothly but the meaning was all there! After 11 years and 6 years living together it was no surprise that Emily said YES!
