Are There Other Wedding Weekend Events?

Answer

Absolutely! We're hoping to make a weekend out of the celebration and are currently planning a few additional gatherings. We are excited to spend as much time as possible with our family and friends throughout the weekend. Details are still being finalized, but we'll share more information as the wedding gets closer. We can't wait to celebrate with you in Charleston!

Where should I stay?

Answer

We recommend staying in downtown Charleston if possible, as our wedding venue, The Cedar Room, is located in the heart of the city and close to many hotels, restaurants, and attractions. Downtown accommodations make it easy to walk, take a quick Uber, or enjoy a short drive to all of the wedding weekend festivities. If you prefer, Mount Pleasant is also a great option. The Cedar Room is located just across the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge from Mount Pleasant, making it a convenient alternative with many excellent hotel options and easy access to the venue.

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Please note that transportation will not be provided to or from the wedding. We kindly ask that you plan your travel arrangements accordingly. Uber and other rideshare services are readily available in the Charleston area and are a great option for guests. Depending on where you are staying, some accommodations may even be within walking distance of the venue. Parking is available at the venue; however, the lot is shared with neighboring businesses and spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend allowing extra time for parking if you plan to drive.

What is the wedding day dress code?

Wedding Day: Black Tie Optional Ladies, please wear formal, floor-length gowns or elegant evening dresses. Gentlemen, please wear a dark suit and tie or a tuxedo. We can't wait to celebrate with all of you in style!

What is the weather like in Charleston in February?

Answer

February in Charleston is typically mild, with daytime temperatures often ranging from the mid-50s to mid-60s and cooler evenings in the 40s and 50s. Our ceremony will take place outdoors, while the cocktail hour, dinner, and reception will be held indoors. We recommend bringing a light coat, wrap, or fur for the ceremony and any time spent outside.

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Formal invitations will be specifically addressed to those invited to celebrate with us during our wedding weekend. If a guest has been included in your invitation, their name will be listed on the invitation and RSVP. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with our closest family and friends!
