Clark and Emily found each other in the most wonderful way - on a dating app. Okay, maybe that isn't so wonderful, but their relationship certainly has been. Clark and Emily found each other on the dating app Bumble. Emily was charmed by Clark's handsome pictures and his profile that outlined his love for baking chocolate chip cookies. Emily's profile caught Clark's eye with her cute photos and the inclusion of her adorable cat Dinah. Clark and Emily first met in person at a boba tea shop in College Station called "BonAppeTea". They were both nervous to meet each other in person after around a week of only talking online, but after the date they both knew for certain that they needed to see each other again. Clark and Emily continued to date, travel, meet each others' families, and fall deeply in love as Clark continued his master's degree and Emily finished her undergrad. As Emily's undergraduate degree came to a close, she desperately sought a teaching position within reach of Clark. However, Latin teaching positions are few and far between. It seemed that fate was looking out for Emily, though, as a position opened up in Bryan, Texas, right next to College Station where Clark was completing his master's degree. As Emily taught Latin and Clark finished his last year of graduate school, the couple passed their time watching shows, building lego sets together, playing games on Emily's Nintendo Switch, traveling, and going on unique dates. Over time, Clark and Emily felt more and more certain that their close bond was something truly special. In March of 2023, Clark proposed to Emily on the swingset at Hensel Park in College Station, where they had shared dates early on in their relationship. In June 2023 after the completion of Clark’s master’s degree, Clark and Emily moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Here Clark is beginning his exciting career as an aerospace engineer and Emily is finishing her Master of Education. Clark and Emily are excited to get married and host their reception at Hotel Albuquerque with their close friends and family on Thursday, July 25th, 2024!
