Marquette is a beautiful place in summertime, but it can be chilly in the evenings. Make sure to bring both warm and cool weather clothes.
There are a number of companies to rent cars from at the airport. When looking for cars to rent, search for KI Sawyer as the location. That is the name of the airport, and it is about a half hour's drive out of town.
These are the three hotels closest to the event. A quick google search will reveal a variety of other lodging options in the area.
Please be mindful, especially if you are coming up from New Orleans and are upset about the damage that whole-house rentals have done to the neighborhoods there, we are now facing those same challenges in Marquette.
