Things To Do
Presque Isle
A quick drive or walk around Presque Isle is a great introduction to the area! (don't be daunted by the drive past the power plant, it's beautiful once you get out there) This area is a deer preserve, so you may see some of them hanging out. No dogs allowed and no feeding the deer, please.
Wetmore Landing
Great place to hike around by the water!
Sugarloaf Mountain
There are stairs and hand rails almost all the way up, but still it's a little bit of a workout to get to the top. The views are worth it!
McCarty's Cove
This is our beach! We'll be getting married there, of course, but also if you want some chill beach time, this is a great spot!
The Noquemanon North Trails
This is a very easy, beautiful trail, especially if you are dog friendly.
The Cedars and The Oxbow Loop
See web address for map. Park at the Marquette Light and Power trailhead, just past the Marquette Board of Light and Power. Follow the river to find the hiking loops, where Charlie and Emily went for a romantic walk the day before he proposed. It's an easy hike for those not used to lots of hills.
Blackrocks Brewery
This is the spot for good beer.
Ore Dock Brewing Company
This is the main music venue in town. There most certainly will be stuff happening here! The venue is upstairs, and there's a comfy barroom downstairs.
Downtown Marquette
We have a lovely downtown, worth exploring, with lots of places to shop, eat or grab a drink.
The North Star Lounge
If you walk into the lobby of the Landmark Inn, you can take the elevator up to the top floor, where you will find the North Star. It's our go-to date spot, and give you a great view of the whole town!
