One muggy May night in Williamsburg, Emily had run into a problem. She was looking for somewhere to go, but all of her friends were already 21 and had gone to bars. Not content to sit in her house for another night, she reached out to another under-21 friend for ideas. He suggested that one of his fraternity brothers might still be up and willing to hang out. Emily only had one question - "Is he tall?" Needless to say, the rest is history.

After hitting it off instantly (and Emily finally turning 21 a few days later), Chandler asked Emily on their official first date. Emily's housemates still fondly remember her freaking out in anticipation before he came to pick her up and take her to Giuseppe's Italian Ristorante - she LOVES Italian food - before grabbing Slurpees at 7/11 and heading to their favorite college bar, Brickhouse (Club B), for Chandler's favorite cocktail (if you have to ask, spare yourself). The following few weeks were filled with summer fun. Emily visited Chandler at work at Water Country, and he took her peach picking in the countryside; Chandler did an amazing job of hiding the fact that he despises peaches. This is still one of their favorite memories!

Five years after their first fateful meeting, Emily and Chandler headed back to Williamsburg to commemorate the occasion. Although they decided to upgrade from a frat house to the Williamsburg Inn, some things stayed the same; after Chandler got down on one knee in front of the beautiful historic hotel, the two promptly headed back to Guiseppe's for some celebratory food and bubbly. The rest of the weekend was filled with rest, relaxation, and top-down Jeep driving on the Colonial Parkway.
