The Beginning

It all started with the Olive Garden...

In August 2013, I was volunteering at Seymour Ambulance from 12pm-6pm. Bryan had a meeting next door at town hall and let me know that he would be listening to the radio should there be a call after I left. As I was walking out the door, a 911 call was dispatched for EMS response. I waited a few minutes as the driver was waiting for Bryan to sign on the radio. He never did.... So I stayed, took the call, and ended my shift a few hours later than I expected. I was supposed to go to dinner at the Olive Garden with my mom that night, but because of the late call, we canceled. Bryan texted me later that night to thank me for taking the call, as he didn't hear his radio (which I find a little suspicious because everyone who knows Bryan, knows his radio is ALWAYS on and LOUD!) I said it was no problem, but now he owed me Olive Garden because I missed my dinner out. Now anyone who really knows Bryan, knows his favorite restaurant is Olive Garden; I had no idea at the time. He agreed, but never thought I was serious. Long story short, Olive Garden became our first date, and almost six years later, here we are.

How He Popped the Question?

24K Magic

On November 15th, I was scheduled to pick up my 2018 Dodge Durango GT at Fitzpatrick's in Ansonia. I was so excited to get my car and focused on that task. Bryan left work that Thursday and met me at the dealership. Little did I know, Bryan had been working with our salesman Mark Fitzpatrick to plan an epic engagement. Bryan got there early that Thursday and hid the ring in the new car and Mark did a few last touches and placed the big bow on the car. As Mark pulled the car over, 24K Magic by Bruno Mars started playing, and later he said that just felt like fate. I signed a bunch of paperwork and then it was time to jump in the car. Mark told me to jump in and grab the key in the center console so he could show me the car's features. As I opened the center console, there it was, the ring! I nearly fell out of the car and when I turned around Bryan was on one knee and the whole dealership was clapping and taking photos. So I ended up getting a new car, a ring, and a fiancé that day! A huge thank you to Mark Fitzpatrick and the whole staff at the dealership!
