Our wedding will be a formal event. This includes evening gowns or elevated cocktail dresses for the ladies, and suits or tuxedos for the men. We can't wait to celebrate with you in style!
Due to limited space, we can only accommodate those listed on the wedding invitation.
While we love your little ones, out wedding is an adults only event. We encourage you to use this evening as a "date night" and appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time. We hope everyone will be able to relax and enjoy a great night!
While you are welcome to stay where it is most convenient, we recommend that for the night of the wedding, you stay in/around Idaho Springs. We will be providing shuttle transportation to and from the event. We want everyone to be able to enjoy themselves at the event without having to worry about getting back to their accommodations safely on mountain roads. Please see the travel section for the accommodations we are recommending. We tried to include a range of prices to accommodate those with different budgets. Idaho Springs is a cute mountain town with much to explore, and we can't wait for you to join us!
We do recommend booking a rental car. Idaho Springs is about an hour away from the airport. There is much to explore in the surrounding area! Please see our things to do section!
We fully understand that for a number of reasons, some family and friends may not be able to join us in Colorado. Please do not feel pressured to travel; we will be celebrating with you in spirit. If you know you will not be able to make it, please let us know under the RSVP section, as this will help us to plan more accurately. Also, for this reason, we are planning to have a Pennsylvania reception. See the Schedule/RSVP pages for details on this! Formal invitations for both events to follow!
Idaho Springs sits at about 7,526 ft. Those who may be more sensitive to altitude change may find it helpful to stay in Denver for a day before the wedding to acclimate to the altitude. Our main recommendation, while it may seem overly simple, is hydration, hydration, hydration! We have found that drinking plenty of water in the days before travel, the days of travel, and while at altitude makes a HUGE difference. This is particularly true if you plan to drink alcohol (cue the party music) while here. Due to the impact of altitude, alcohol can have a stronger effect. Again, something that can help is a lot of hydration. You can also purchase oxygen canisters at many local grocery stores or gas stations. Colorado's scenery can certainly take your breath away, but with a little easy preparation, most side effects can be easily mitigated!
The venue does not allow cars to be left overnight. For this reason, we are providing a shuttle to and from the venue.
